Explanation of Benefits
Once a claim is processed, an explanation of benefits (EOB) will be sent to the member. EOBs are used to request information on a claim that remains pending as well as to convey what benefits are paid. The EOB includes coded messages that are important for the member to read to aid in the understanding of their claim reimbursement.
